FAQ

Straight answers.

The questions we hear most, answered plainly. Don’t see yours? Call or text us.

Quick answer

Tierra Vista Health is an independent agency. A licensed agent compares your health coverage options, explains them in plain English and helps you enroll, at no charge to you. Everything happens by phone or text.

Working with us

Does it cost anything to work with you?+

Talking to us is free. We are here to help at no charge to you.

How do we talk?+

By phone or text. Call or text Jeff at 817-980-8804 or Amy Herdine at 817-470-2229, or book a free call online and we’ll call you at the time you pick.

Who will I be talking to?+

Jeff Weisblatt, the owner, is licensed in 28 states. Amy Herdine is licensed in Texas and focuses on Texas clients. You talk to one of us, not a call center.

What happens after I enroll?+

You keep the same person to call: for questions, renewals, or when life changes.

Getting started

What should I have ready?+

Who needs coverage and their birthdays, your ZIP code, the doctors and prescriptions you want to keep, and what you pay today if you have a plan. A rough idea of household income helps if you want to compare Marketplace savings.

Do I have to take the quiz first?+

No. The free Find My Plan quiz is a quick way to see which kinds of coverage fit you, and your answers stay on your device. You can skip it and call or text us directly.

When can I sign up?+

Private plans are available year-round, usually starting the first of the following month. Marketplace plans have an annual open enrollment window, plus special enrollment after life events like a job change or new baby.

How coverage works

What is the difference between ACA and non-ACA coverage?+

Non-ACA or private plans can be applied for year-round and may cost less for some people, with different rules. ACA (Marketplace) plans follow federal rules and may qualify for income-based savings. We will explain the trade-offs for your situation.

Will I keep my doctor?+

It depends on the plan’s network. Tell us who you see and we will check before you choose.

Can I add dental, vision or other coverage?+

Yes. We also help with life, dental, vision, accident, critical illness and hospital coverage, and we’ll show you how each one fits with your health plan.

I’m retiring early. What are my options?+

If you stop working in your 50s or early 60s, common options include a private plan, COBRA, a spouse’s employer plan, and the Marketplace as a fallback. See our early retirement page or give us a call.
